Hopefully you didn’t stat out too late partying (like I did) and you were able to tune in to another day of amazing content and networking on Day 3. Here are my highlights for Day 2 of Affiliate Summit West 2017.
Christian Affiliate Marketers Meetup
So I started the day at the Christian Affiliate Marketers Meetup at JJ’s Boulangerie at the Paris Hotel. It was a nice gathering and we heard from Wade Tonkin, the founder of the original Christian Affiliate Marketers Association. We have a grass roots group that is looking to revive the group (no pun intended). If you are interested, you can join the Linkedin group to stay tuned for future happenings.
The Hoth Brought It to the Exhibitors Area
I have to say the folks that The Hoth were pretty impressive from having WWF legend Ric Flair in the House, to having a real money booth (yes, I got $19), to their party at the Affiliate Ball.

Takeaways From the Day
I got to sit in on two sessions on Days. The first was with Russell Brunson of Click Funnels where he laid out his strategy for both a product owner funnel and an affiliate funnel. And of course, using Click Funnels makes it that much easier (And OF COURSE it’s an affiliate link) :-). If you have access to the video replays, you won’t want to miss this one.
The second session I sat it on was with my friend and colleague Marty Fahncke from Barton Publishing (disclosure – I am an affiliate manager for Barton Publishing). Marty discussed his case study on how integrating tradition media such as radio, TV, and press can product HUGE wins for your affiliate sales. This is another one, you’ve got to watch on the replay. As a bonus, he gave away the “hack” to connecting with celebrities for celebrity endorsements (it’s in the replay) ;-).
Highlights of the Day
I had the privilege of interviewing some amazing people once again and below are three of the videos. These are from folks who are crushing it in terms of networking, exhibiting, and connecting with prospects.
ASW Parties – Day 2
SO many parties, so little time. SO how many did you make it to? I did a little party hopping starting with the Pepperjam party at FIZZ (at Caesars Palace) where I ran into a friend and met some more wonderful folks. Thanks to Mark Cramer at Rank Dynamics for the awesome photo below.
Next it was off to the HYDE @ Bellagio for the Clickbank Party. I had the fortune of meeting someone who I was trying to connect with so that worked out well. I also got to shake hands with Russell Brunson who I have followed for many years.
From there it was off to the Affiliate Ball. Yes, this was the big one that we had all been waiting for. I had a VIP ticket for early entry but since I wanted to check out all of the other parties, that opportunity kind of went away. By the time I arrived, it was on… Snopp Dogg eventually made his way to the turntables and it was an amazing show. Affiliate Summit is such an amazing community that I actually ran into a few friends there as well which was fun. My only regret is not getting that photo opp with Snoop & Coolio (so yes, I am jealous Missy & Shawn). 😉
Ho hum…Just another Monday night hanging out with @SnoopDogg #djsnoopadelic #ASW17 #affiliateball pic.twitter.com/6QBSXjhwPu

After that… well, I was hungry.., I ended up eating some late night (or early morning) dim sum which was amazing so you’ve got to check that out at Yong Kang Street inside the Paris Hotel.
Well that’s what I’ve for for day 2 … that’s a wrap!
Great coverage, Anthony – that was such an awesome thing to get to meet Snoop and chat for a minute.
Thanks Shawn, I had a great time doing the interviews and round ups. Meeting Snoop is still on my bucket list 🙂
