Today is the day when Google is implementing it’s “non mobile” algorithm. Well, that’s not the official name, but in short, the latest Google update was created to give priority to websites that are mobile and tablet friendly.
Google likes to send people to websites that solve their problems. Someone types in a search query and then Google searches it’s database and returns a search result – usually in the form of a website.
If a website is not mobile optimized, this means that people can’t view their website on their smart phones and tablets. It creates a poor user experience and that is not what Google wants to do.
The Problem
The affiliate marketing business is not different than any other business in that we get paid to solve problems.
The problem that you can make money solving as an affiliate is based on the the fact that so many company websites are still not mobile optimized. This means it can’t be viewed well on a smart phone and now won’t come up well in Google searches.
The bigger problem is that many business owners still don’t know they have this problem (or that there is an update taking place today). If they found out about the problem and how much money they were potentially losing, they would most likely want to correct it.
Your Affiliate Marketing Opportunity
Google is not offering this affiliate marketing opportunity directly, but using this new information you can become an affiliate for a myriad of web design firms that will pay you to send them leads of business owners who need their websites updated to a mobile friendly version.
Google has even given you a free tool to run a simple test (takes less than 2 minutes) to find out if a website is mobile friendly or not. Here is a link to the tool: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/
You can run this test as often as you would like and I am sure that you will find lots of companies that need help.
Here is a screenshot of what the test results look like:
Finding a Web Design Company to Work With
If you do a Google search for “website affiliates” or “web design affiliate program” (you get the picture) you should be able to find a company that offers an affiliate program. Of course, you want to do your due diligence on the company and make sure they do great work and actually pay their affiliates.
My Internet Marketing company (AKA Internet Marketing) has been building websites for over a decade and we have an amazing team that can crank out an amazing number of websites every month. We are always looking for affiliates who want to help us find more of these companies that need our help, so we are excited about the Google change. We have a simple script that affiliates can you (no need to reinvent the wheel) and our affiliate commissions range between 5% & 20% up front, plus a 5% residual commission on any upsells for a year. Most of our websites start at around $3,500 and can be as large as $20,000 or more so that gives you an idea of what you can earn just by sending us a link to a company that needs a website.
Now you have something else to thank Google for!
Have a great day and happy selling!
